StableRock Properties, LLC was formed to serve the Oklahoma City metro community by helping to rebuild and restore neighborhoods while providing convenience or a financial lifeline to homeowners who want out of their current home. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the areas we serve (including Oklahoma City, Newcastle, Mustang, Yukon, Moore, Norman and the surrounding areas) by not only restoring homes but setting as many families as possible up for future financial success.
There are many companies in the Oklahoma City area who will buy your home for cash and most will offer the same benefits including flexible closing dates, offers not contingent upon appraisals, no agent fees, and an option to cover all closing costs. There is not much that can be done to set one “we buy homes for cash” company apart from the others here. Where we strive to set ourselves apart is with a personal touch, much of which comes after the transaction.
At Stablerock, we realize that the American Dream can look different for different people. Sometimes that involves being a homeowner, other times it involves the freedom to travel and not be held down by anything. Regardless of what your American Dream looks like, chances are that it includes financial security. Though money is a poor measure of success, being financially secure can dramatically improve your quality of life by reducing your stress level and allowing you the flexibility to do some of the things you always wanted to do, including helping others.
Our “Shining Light” program is our way of giving back by providing complimentary financial planning and education to each family who we buy a home for cash from. This service is provided by Erik, our Certified Public Accountant (CPA), who has a passion for personal finance and educating others. We would love to be able to develop and offer a course to teach at public schools one day, but for now we will give back one family at a time to those who feel they could benefit from this. The Shining Light program is complimentary and entirely customizable with a goal of filling in any financial knowledge gaps you may have and developing a plan to gain or maintain financial security in this next chapter of your life after selling your home.
Please note that we do not offer any additional financial planning services after this complimentary service, so you can have confidence that it is, in fact, entirely complimentary without even the possibility of paying for anything. Also, this service is entirely optional. If we buy your home for cash and you do not need or want any financial planning and education, you can “pay it forward” by declining this service and we will offer it to another member of the Oklahoma City metro community, free of charge, as always.
Managers
StableRock is managed by Lauren and Erik, a husband and wife team who have previously managed a successful wedding and event planning company. We realized back then that going the extra mile for people and giving them a unique value that others could not or would not provide was important, and we are carrying on that same philosophy at StableRock. At the end of the day, it is really about creating a win-win situation for you as you sell your home and for us as we buy your home, and sometimes thinking outside the box is what will get us there.
Sometimes thinking outside the box requires different perspectives and opinions to come up with a solution or path forward. While we both share the same core values and goals, we are often opposites of each other in a complimentary way. You will likely find that Erik is best with numbers and tends to be more fact oriented while Lauren is better at design and relating on an emotional level to cultivate intentional relationships. Lauren will not be creating any budgets for anyone, and Erik will not be staging or decorating any homes any time soon! Together, we make a great team and have learned through the years to let each person do what they do best!
Both Lauren and Erik were born and raised in Texas, but came to Oklahoma as quickly as we could! That is somewhat of a joke and play on words from the old “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could” bumper stickers, but in all seriousness, we absolutely love it here in Oklahoma! The people of Oklahoma City and other surrounding areas such as Newcastle, Mustang, and Moore have been wonderful and after several years of living in Oklahoma, this feels like home. We are enjoying raising our children in such a family friendly place!

I received my degree in education with the intention of being an elementary school teacher, but God had different plans for me! During my final two years of college, I was thoroughly enjoying planning our wedding which is where I discovered my love for design. This experience, along with my entrepreneurial spirit, ultimately led us to start our own wedding and event planning company shortly after. Designing events is very similar to designing and decorating homes, so this was valuable experience for me that serves me well when buying homes with cash.
While my college degree has not been necessary for my career, it has served me well at home where I currently homeschool our children. One of the draws for Oklahoma City for me is that Oklahoma is the only state in the nation that guarantees the right to homeschool as part of the state constitution. Having the ability to teach our children not only the usual reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also important spiritual and life skills such as Bible stories, character qualities, and how to know right from wrong has been a blessing! One of my favorite things to do is to travel with my family and teach our children about other cultures and ways of life whenever possible.
I enjoy slowing life down as much as possible by preserving simple living, hard working ethics and keeping Christ in the center of our home. I appreciate good design and my design style is known for being polished, timeless and attainable luxury while not losing sight of your true self and staying humble and kind. Southern at heart and a devoted Christian, I am thankful for where I started and where God is taking me in this incredible life.

Though I have always been interested in math and finance, it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to take accounting courses instead of science courses in college that I really knew that I wanted a career in accounting and finance. From obtaining my CPA license, preparing income taxes for clients, experience in accounting and finance through various positions in the oil and gas industry, and developing both personal budgets as well as budgets for events, I have well-rounded financial knowledge that translates nicely to real estate. Buying homes for cash is a great way to combine my interest in investing and desire to help others.
On a more personal note, I enjoy many of the outdoor activities that Oklahoma City has to offer. Kayaking, tennis, golf, sand volleyball and softball are just a few of the things I try to do as often as possible. I also help to coach our son’s baseball team and spend as much time with our children as possible. I am an avid music lover and am always listening to something while driving. I like to think I have a very well-rounded taste in music as I listen to rock, alternative, Christian, and country (including Moore’s own Toby Keith and Garth Brooks, who grew up in Yukon). I also enjoy playing the drumset and traveling, especially to the beach or mountains.
StableRock Properties Logo
If you look around at companies who specialize in construction, buying homes for cash, renovations, etc., you will see a common theme of logos with some sort of a house on them. Be on the lookout for signs the next time you drive around Moore, Mustang, Yukon, or Norman and you will see plenty of them! This makes perfect sense, but we wanted to build some meaning into our logo so we put some extra thought into it to come up with a logo that is both reflective of our mission, reflective of our personal tastes, and reflective of the local Oklahoma City area where we operate.
First, the mission… The shining light on our logo represents the desire to be “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14-16), and the rocks represent the “wise man who built his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24-27). These Biblical concepts translate well to business, as we can be the “light of the world” by treating everyone with respect and working towards a win-win situation that does not take advantage of anyone. The concept of building your house upon the rock, as Jesus advised, shows that proper foundations are necessary. The knowledge of Jesus’ teachings and applications of it to your own life will serve as solid foundations that will allow you to weather the storms as they come, just like a house with a solid foundation. Our mission is to provide some solid financial foundations for families we work with through our “Shining Light” program.
Second, our personal tastes… We love to travel, and one of our favorite vacations is a beach vacation. The water in our logo is a reminder of this, and also a motivation for both of us to work hard and strive for success.
Finally, reflective of Oklahoma City… One of our favorite places to visit in Oklahoma City is Lake Hefner, and the lighthouse there was the original inspiration for the design of our logo. It’s a beautiful place, and if you haven’t visited yet at sunset, we highly recommend it! Plus, if we weren’t going to go with a normal house on our logo, we at least needed a lighthouse!
