Let’s talk for a minute about grout lines. You can really tell how clean your bathroom or kitchen is from how well you clean your tile, caulk and grout. An otherwise clean bathroom can look dirty if the grout lines are not kept clean. What you need is to take the time to clean those lines with a mixture or cleaner.
I like to clean my grout lines ideally once a month, but life gets in the way. You can use different methods to clean your grout lines. Grab a regular tile cleaner, full strength vinegar and baking soda or solution of ¼ cup of chlorine bleach and one quart of water. I prefer using a more natural route, but sometimes natural just won’t do the trick. If you choose to use a chemical route make sure you use gloves to protect your hands and a cloth or sponge to prevent splattering clothes or fabrics.
Mom tip: If you choose the natural route you can get your kids to pitch in and help. Always try to make a mundane chore or task fun and creative. They can all be rewarded with a popsicle or a big bowl of ice cream.
If you get in the habit of cleaning your grout lines, you won’t need to do too much work to keep up with it.
As always, God bless!
